Maryland Man Convicted for Stealing Apple Products

A Maryland man was convicted Monday of conspiring to commit three armed robberies of Apple delivery truck drivers.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Khalil Kenyon Blackman, 31, was convicted of conspiracy to commit robbery and brandishing a firearm after three seperate incidents over the past two years targeted specifically towards truck drivers delievering Apple products to area stores.

Blackman and his co-conspirators robbed delivery trucks in Prince George's County, Md. and Fairfax County, Va., prosecutors said.

Authorities said Blackman sold the majority of the products he obtained and split the profits with his conspirators. Apple suffered a loss of over $130,000 as a result of the robberies.

Based on the charges, Blackman could face anywhere from seven years to a maximum penalty of life imprisonment. The sentencing is scheduled for April 26, 2013.
