A man was fatally shot while trying to pump gas in Hillcrest Heights, Md., Tuesday night.
Prince George's County Police believe the gunman was high on PCP when he started chasing the victim around 11 p.m. near the intersection of Branch Avenue and Colebrooke Drive.
Both ran across Branch Avenue, where the victim was shot.
Police tried using a stun gun on the suspect but it had no effect, which is common when someone is using PCP, authorities said. They arrested him at the scene and recovered a weapon.
It's not clear whether the shooter knew the victim or if there was any other motive.
Police said the victim was about 30 years old, but they have not yet released his name.
