Vice President Joe Biden will speak at a conference on gun violence Thursday in Danbury, Conn.
Connecticut Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy and U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty will host the conference at Western Connecticut State University.
Biden will talk about the Dec. 14 tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School that has prompted a national debate over gun control.
There will also be panel discussions on reducing gun violence, protecting children and making communities safer.

The parents of Grace McDonnell, a 7-year-old girl killed in the school shooting, will attend and participate on the gun violence panel. Mental health experts, faith leaders and other victims' family members are set to attend.
Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy is planning to make a big announce about his own proposals at the forum.
