Authorities have arrested one suspect in a home invasion and are searching for at least one more following a police-involved shooting in Prince George's County.
The incident began around 10 a.m. in the 6900 block of Opal Place in Capitol Heights, Md.
Police surrounded a townhome after receiving a 911 call about an armed home robbery in progress there.
They noticed signs of forced entry before an armed suspect engaged an officer around the rear of the home. The officer fired her weapon before the suspect ran back into the house, authorities said.
Authorities are unable to confirm whether anyone was struck, Lt. Bill Alexander told News4's Pat Collins at 11 a.m. The suspect in custody was not hurt.
Police are still searching for at least one other suspect, Collins reports. Some streets are closed off as they search the area with K-9 units.
Alexander said they have recovered two guns from the scene, one from inside the home and one outside.
No officers were injured.
