Students Say Man Fired BB Gun at Them

A Virginia elementary school is on alert after students reported that a man fired a BB gun at them outside the school.

Paul Vickers, the principal of Mill Run Elementary School in Ashburn, sent a warning to parents Friday about a man in a black pickup truck.

Two students reported that the man fired multiple rounds at them from inside his truck Thursday afternoon. Another student said she was followed by a man in a similar type of truck Friday morning, Vickers wrote.

The school's resource officer and other members of the sheriff's department will be present during Friday afternoon dismissal.

All recess and after-school activities are being held inside Friday.
