Part of Rock Creek Parkway was closed Saturday morning after a woman was found unconscious under a bridge.
Investigators say the woman was found by a bicyclist shortly before 7 a.m. beneath the Charles Glover Memorial Bridge and was taken to George Washington University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. No identifying information about her was immediately available.
News4's Derrick Ward reported that traffic on Rock Creek Parkway in the direction of the National Zoo was being diverted onto Massachusetts Avenue during the investigation of the scene. The investigation is continuing.
