A newborn baby girl made her grand entrance in an unexpected location Monday morning.
The delivery took place on the shoulder of VA-267 near Exit 10 to Herndon. Virginia State Police and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority responded to a 911 call at 7:09 a.m.
The new mom and her daughter were transported to an area hospital.
