Two toddlers and their mother were airlifted to hospitals Thursday afternoon after a crash on Rock Point Road in Newburg, Md.
Amanda Marie Bradshaw, 24, lost control of a Mercury Sable and drove into oncoming traffic just west of Cobb Island Road shortly before 1 p.m., according to Maryland State Police.
The Sable was hit by a green Camry headed the opposite direction.
Bradshaw and her two young girls, ages 2 and 1, were airlifted to hospitals. Bradshaw and the 2-year-old are being treated for life-threatening injuries. The 1-year-old is in serious condition.
The driver of the Camry, 72-year-old Connie Miller, was also taken to a hospital. She is expected to recover. Roger Miller, 72, a passenger in the car, was not hurt.
No charges have been filed.
Maryland State Police told News4 they are still investigating what caused Bradshaw to lose control of the car.
