Rescuers in Anne Arundel County built a makeshift bridge to rescue a 15-year-old boy who was apparently stuck in the mud in Pasadena, Md., Friday afternoon.
Rescuers put plywood over the mud to reach the boy, who became stuck about 1:30 p.m.
The boy was taken to the University of Maryland's Shock Trauma with serious injuries, according Anne Arundel County fire. He is being checked out for compression injuries and hypothermia.
Authorities haven't been able to say how the victim got stuck.
