A former Anne Arundel County Public Schools substitute teacher and church counselor has been accused of providing marijuana to and smoking it with juveniles in his care and custody.

Benjamin James Siggers, 31, of the 5100 Block of Frederick Avenue in Baltimore, Md., was charged Friday with two counts of contributing to certain condition of child and two counts of possession of marijuana.

In February, Siggers, a church group leader and counselor for the Severn United Methodist Church, provided transportation for two juvenile males to a camp near Edgewater in Anne Arundel County to participate in a youth group overnight trip, police said. He allegedly shared marijuana with the minors while driving to the camp.

Siggers was terminated immediately from Anne Arundel County Public Schools when they learned of the investigation.
