Metrobus Collides With Minivan in Southeast

Passengers on a Metrobus suffered non life-threatening injuries when it collided with a minivan in Southeast Saturday afternoon.

Investigators say the accident happened at around 1:30 p.m. Saturday and involved an A9 bus traveling south on Martin Luther King Avenue toward Livingston Road. Police say the bus struck a Dodge minivan that had suddenly pulled in front of the bus.

The precise number of passengers on the bus was not immediately known. The driver of the minivan, whose identity is not known, was cited for making an improper lane change.
