Three people were injured in a house fire in Arlington late Tuesday morning.
Rescue personnel believe that two people may have jumped out of a window to escape the blaze in the 2300 block of Dinwiddie Street. They were found with severe burns outside the home, and were taken to Washington Hospital Center.
A third victim was found trapped in the basement of the home and rescued. She was not hospitalized.
The fire broke out at about 10:40 a.m. About 50 firefighters -- some from Fairfax County -- responded to the fire, which also damaged two neighboring homes.
The cause is still under investigation.
