Drew Bonner came to the plate at Fairfax High School for his first varsity at-bat after four years managing the team, drew a walk -- and the celebration of his whole team at first base.
For Bonner, who has muscular dystrophy and uses a wheelchair, his first official at-bat was the culmination of a lifetime long love of baseball. It was also a celebration of Bonner's role in the sports life of Fairfax High, where he manages the baseball, football and basketball teams.
Bonner is graduating and headed to the University of Virginia on a full academic scholarship.
Here's a video of Drew's big moment.
