Mothers who say they are afraid of being separated from their families rallied outside the White House on Thursday.

The group calls themselves “Keeping Families Together”. They are asking President Obama to stop all deportations while Congress debates immigration.

It comes as the Senate Judiciary Committee begins what's known as "marking up" the immigration reform bill.  More than 300 amendments to the bill are expected to be considered.

Mamirceli Campos was 15 when she emigrated from El Salvador. She has been living in the United States for seven years and now has a young son.

“It’s scary. I’m waiting anytime for immigration to come and take me away from my baby,” said Campos.

The women rallying today say they hope the law will change to help keep families together.
