New Bike Lanes Plan Raises Concerns About Cyclists

D.C. is quickly becoming one of the most bike-friendly cities in the nation, and with more bike lanes in the works, that trend is likely to continue, but not everyone is happy about it.

There's concern that more bike lanes could mean more trouble for cyclists and drivers.

Opponents of new bike lanes cite cyclists breaking traffic rules and say the problem must be fixed fast.

There are plans to offer free bike safety classes, and DDOT is going to add stickers with bike-safety tips to all of the red Capital Bike Share cycles.
