A building in Fauquier County is condemned Monday morning after a tractor trailer plowed into it.
Police say the truck driver fell asleep and crashed into the building on Route 29 early Sunday morning. The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt, and no one was in the building at the time.
The rig was not loaded, but the crash caused the truck's 80 gallon fuel tank to rupture, spilling about 60 gallons of diesel in front of the building. Crews were on the scene for several hours cleaning up the fuel.
That building houses a construction company. Police cited the driver for reckless driving.
Police have identified the driver as Christopher Huff, 22, of South Carolina. He was ticketed for reckless driving.
