DC Police are investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist Friday night.
Investigators say that the motorcycle collided with a car at around 11 p.m. at the intersection of 23rd and Constitution Avenue NW. Authorities say the man on the motorcycle died while the driver of the car was not injured. According to News4's Derrick Ward, the motorcyclist was in town for this weekend's Rolling Thunder run. His name has not been released.
Police say the driver of the car remained on scene. No charges have yet been filed.
The intersection was shut down while the scene was investigated. The intersection was reopened early Saturday morning.
