Some local runners are lacing up their shoes to make a special delivery.
After raising more than $55,000 for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, Frank Fumich and Matt Nelson will run from D.C. to Boston to hand delivery the donation --that's 450 miles.
"Frank decided instead of flying up to present the money, we'd run it up," Nelson said.
Nelson and Fumich suspect other runners will join their four-day journey.
"We have a spot tracker, so people can follow our progress. And we've invited people via social media to come out and join us...there's going to be some lonely roads, and it'd be nice to have some friends running along," Funmich explained.
The pair will run in six hour shifts, switching off until their trek is complete.
The duo kicked off their inspirational journey live on News4 Today.
