Three families were displaced by a two-alarm townhouse fire in Howard County Tuesday morning.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m., 60 firefighters from Howard, Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties were called to the 6900 block of Ducketts Lane in Elkridge.
Fire officials say the fire moved from the back deck or kitchen of the home to the roof, causing four adjacent townhomes to catch fire as well.
One person was taken to an area hospital for smoke inhalation; three additional patients refused transport. No other injuries were reported.
The Red Cross has been contacted to assist the affected familes.
