Officials say the search for two missing hikers ended within three hours Wednesday evening.
The two individuals had been missing from the Sugarloaf Mountain since 8 p.m. Wednesday. The mountain is about 10 miles south of Frederick, Md.
Frederick County firefighters and deputies searched for the two and a Maryland State Police helicopter was been deployed.
According to dispatchers, a relative contacted police saying they have not been in contact with the two individuals.
Police haven't released the gender, ages or names of the individuals involved.
