Whole Foods is one step closer to coming to Prince George's County.
The Prince George's County Planning Board approved the $250 million Cafritz project Thursday night. The proposal will now go to the county council for final approval.
Located in Riverdale Park along Route 1, the development will sit on 37 acres. The project is endorsed by Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker, but many residents have voiced their concerns regarding traffic issues in the area.
The development would house 981 multi-family housing units, a 120-room hotel, 22,000 square feet of office space, as well as additional retail space.
