Police are investigating bullet holes in the side of a Leesburg house, after responding to calls in the area Sunday night.
The Leesburg Police Department reported receiving multiple calls of gunshots heard in the area of Catoctin Circle and Valley View Avenue SW.
Officers responded shortly after 9:45 p.m. Sunday and located several bullet casings in the roadway in the 200 block of Valley View Avenue. They observed no damage to any property, and no injuries were reported.
Several hours after the incident was reported, a resident in the 100 block of Catoctin Circle SW called Leesburg police at 4:25 a.m. to report what appeared to be several bullet holes in the side of their residence.
Detectives with the Leesburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Section are investigating.
One lane of Catoctin Circle SW in the 100 block was closed due to the investigation, but traffic is able to get by in both directions.
