Overnight rain may have caused a construction trailer in Georgetown to topple over into the construction site.
Workers told NBC4's Derrick Ward they arrived at the 1045 Wisconsin Avenue NW site Friday morning and found the trailer on its side. The construction site is located next to the bridge that spans the C&O Canal.
While the collapse may have been caused by the rain that fell overnight, no definitive cause has been determined.
A residential project is currently being built on the site, according to the Georgetown Patch.
Heavy rain is expected to fall in the area throughout the day Friday as Tropical Storm Andrea heads up the coast.
