A 2-year-old cat named Xena is recovering after being shot with an arrow in Anne Arundel County.
Authorities say Xena's owner found her with a two-foot-long arrow through her left shoulder in the 3000 block of Riva Road Wednesday. A frightened Xena proved elusive, but Animal Control officials finally caught her at noon Friday.
Xena's owner surrendered her in hopes she could be saved. The cat was released from the veterinary hospital on Saturday, and Rude Ranch Animal Rescue hopes to place her in a new home once she fully recovers.
Anyone with information on who may have shot Xena is asked to call Anne Arundel County Animal Control at 410-222-8900.
