Two adults and a child suffered serious injuries when a driver jumped a curb into a downtown D.C. restaurant patio.
The driver of an S-Class Mercedes Benz reportedly struck the patio of Central Michel Richard restaurant, 1001 Pennsylvania Ave. NW just after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
"I heard a very loud crash which I thought was a gentleman knocking over a huge tub of ice, but it turned out to, unfortunately, be a car hitting the building,"Chris Bellotti, who was having dinner at the time of the incident, told News4.
A fourth adult suffered minor injuries in the accident. The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
There was no structural damage to the building.
