Fairfax County police are investigating reports of more than 40 cases of property destruction and larcenies that took place early Thursday morning.
Between 1 and 5 a.m., suspects smashed the passenger side windows of 44 cars parked in Centreville. According to police, thieves stole an assortment of items from glove boxes, including GPS units, iPods, sunglasses, and loose change.
Areas targeted were Bent Tree Circle, Little Rocky Run, Summer Tree Road, Glade Spring Drive, and Cider Barrel Circle.
