Former Washington Redskins Player Fred Smoot, already no stranger to high-profile legal woes, was charged for allegedly driving under the influence after an arrest incident in the District.

An affadavit obtained by News4 and first reported by The Washingtonian shows a U.S. Capitol Police officer pulled the former NFL baller over on Massachusetts Avenue NE back on December 30, apparently because Smoot's' Audi A7 had no tags.

The affadavit also states the officer noticed the smell of alcohol on Smoot's breath, and that Smoot said he had "one drink."

Smoot then reportedly agreed to a field sobriety test, and the officer observed him swaying "noticeably" at one point. Smoot also showed "many clues of impairment" which ultimately led to his arrest. He also refused breath tests, according to documents.

A hand-written portion of the affadavit adds that while being processed at the police station, Smoot, in handcuffs, wet himself, "creating a puddle on the floor." Smoot reportedly never expressed the need to use the bathroom.

As noted by NBCSports.com's Josh Alper, Smoot also made headlines in 2005 for the Minnesota Vikings' so-called "Love Boat Scandal" involving an alleged sex party aboard a lake cruise.

Smoot pleaded "not guilty" to his DUI charge earlier this month. He's due back in court February 19th for a status hearing.
