D.C.'s public university is cutting almost 100 positions in order to cut costs.
The University of the District of Columbia has been under pressure to reign in its unrestricted operating budget.
The Board of Trustees announced the cuts Wednesday -- about a month after firing President Allen Sessoms.
The cuts will save $8.5 million a year, according to UDC.
