Dog owners will rally in Annapolis Tuesday morning in hopes of earning more protection in case their pets bite anyone.
Last year, the state Court of Appeals singled out pit bulls as "inherently dangerous." The ruling made owners and landlords responsible for a dog bite even without any previous evidence that he dog was dangerous.
Tuesday's demonstration supports a new measure that would hold all dog owners responsible for a bite, regardless of the dog's breed. But it would also allow the owner to prove in court that the dog is not dangerous.
