Some Metro clocks were not adjusted to daylight saving time by Monday morning’s commute, so some riders were charged peak fares during the off-peak hour of 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., News4 transportation reporter Adam Tuss learned.
This mistake affected customers who used a handful of fare gates. Metro corrected the mistake.
All affected SmarTrip customers received a refund that will be reflected in their balance the next time they ride, Metro said.
