Two people were injured early Sunday morning after at least 19 shots were fired at a Hyattsville gas station.
Police tell News4 that the shooting occurred at around 3 a.m. at a Shell gas station at 5398 Queens Chapel Road. They say that two groups of people pulled into the station and gunfire broke out as one of the victims was walking toward the on-site food market.
Investigators say the man was shot in the stomach and buttocks. A short time later, a woman arrived at a nearby hospital. She had been hit in the hand and been grazed in the lip. Police believe that the woman's wounds were a result of stray bullets.
Police say the suspects fled the scene in a black four-door compact car and are still at large. No identifying information about either victim has been released.
