A Virginia woman and her father pulled a man out of the path of Metro train just seconds before it arrived at the Pentagon City Metro Station Thursday evening.
Jennifer Buchanan isn’t a regular Metro rider, but she was going to a Washington Capitals game with her father when a 31-year-old man who was looking at his phone lost his balance and fell off the platform about 6 p.m., News4’s Shomari Stone reported.
Buchanan and her father immediately jumped down and pulled the man to safety as a train approached.
Though Buchanan said the man seemed dazed, he declined medical attention.
Metro service was not interrupted.
