The deadline to file individual federal income tax returns is Monday, and the Maryland Comptroller's Office is offering some last-minute help to state residents.
Comptroller Peter Franchot announced this week that each one of his 12 local branch offices will be open between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday to provide free assistance and preparation to filers.
Anyone seeking assistance must bring all W-2 forms, a Form 1099, and a completed federal tax return. Branch offices will also be open between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, Tax Day itself.
