A man and a woman have been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a house fire in Northeast D.C. Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out at 104 50th Street NE shortly before 2 p.m. Firefighters said that the 50-year-old man and 70-year-old woman were found on the second floor of the building. The man was taken to George Washington University Hospital, while the woman was taken to MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
The extent of their injuries was not immediately known. There were no other reports of injuries.
According to News4's Darcy Spencer, D.C. Police are investigating the possibility that the fire was arson.
