A loss prevention officer at a local Kmart told a woman caught shoplifting that she wouldn't go to jail if she performed sex acts in the store's bathroom, according to court documents obtained by News4.

The 23-year-old woman was accused of shoplifting at a Springfield, Va., Kmart on June 8. The store's security guard then escorted her to the back of the store and told her that what she had done was a felony.

The guard has been identified as 29-year-old Tabbasum Gilani of Lorton, Va.

He allegedly told her she would go to jail unless she gave him "some sort of sexual favor."

A search warrant obtained by News4's David Culver states the woman gave in.

Shortly after, Fairfax County Police showed up to take her into custody for the alleged shoplifting, at which point she told police what happened.

She was then taken to a local hospital.

At the same time, Gilani was texting and calling the woman, offering to "get the charges dropped" and "threatening to make sure she goes to jail if she didn't answer his calls/messages," according to the warrant. The woman ignored the messages.

Last Monday, police obtained the search warrant for Gilani's iPhone and arrested him at his home on abduction and forcible sodomy charges.

He was released on $20,000 bond this weekend and is due back in court Aug. 26.

Officials with Kmart Headquarters have not returned News4's calls.
